Terms

Estate Utilities Health Check: terms of booking.

To be reviewed by the company's lawyer before publication

1. The service

The Estate Utilities Health Check is a single site visit by a Skratchsphere engineer to inspect the water, sewage, power and grounds systems of the estate or building named in the booking, followed by a written report and a thirty-minute walkthrough with the client's committee.

2. Fee and payment

The fee is fixed and confirmed in writing before the visit. It is payable in full before the visit date. Travel outside Lagos is agreed in writing at the time of booking.

3. Fee credit

The fee is credited in full against any rehabilitation, installation, operation and maintenance or facility management contract signed with Skratchsphere within ninety days of the report date. The credit is not transferable and has no cash value.

4. Access and cooperation

The client provides access to all plant rooms, tanks, generator houses and records on the visit date, and a representative who can answer questions about the estate's operations.

5. The report

The report is delivered within ten working days of the visit. It states findings separately from recommendations and gives cost bands, not quotations. The client may share the report with any contractor.

6. Rescheduling and cancellation

Either party may reschedule with forty-eight hours' notice at no charge. Cancellation by the client with less than forty-eight hours' notice forfeits half the fee. Cancellation by Skratchsphere refunds the fee in full.

7. Limits

The Health Check is a visual and sampling inspection on one day. It does not open sealed equipment, excavate or load-test structures, and it reports the condition found on that day. Skratchsphere's liability in connection with the Health Check is limited to the fee paid.

8. Confidentiality

Findings are confidential to the client. Skratchsphere does not name the estate or publish results without the client's written agreement.

9. Law

These terms are governed by the laws of the Federal Republic of Nigeria.
